Sarhul

Sarhul is one of the most important festivals of the indigenous communities of Jharkhand, celebrated to welcome the arrival of spring and the flowering of the sacred Sal tree. During the festival, villagers gather at the Sarna grove where the village priest offers prayers to nature and the village spirits for harmony, fertility, and a prosperous agricultural season. Marked by traditional music, dancing, and community processions, Sarhul reflects the deep spiritual bond between tribal life, forests, and the natural cycles that shape everyday existence.
